NIDDHA & MRINAL ARE TOPPERS IN NORTH BENGAL FOR ICSE AND ISC

Webdesk, TNI Kolkata, 6th May, 2016: Today the ICSE and ISC results were declared by the board at 3:00 pm at its headquarters in New Delhi. As far as the West Bengal Statistics are concerned a total of 338 schools affiliated under ICSE got the results in West Bengal. On the other hand, there are 225 schools affiliated under ISE got their results. The total number of candidates passed were 31251 among which 17600 are boys i.e. the pass percentage of boys is around 56.32% and 13651 girls passed i.e. the pass percentage is around 43.68%. On the other hand in ISC, a total number of 21215 candidates passed from West Bengal. Among which 11600 were boys and 9615 were girls. The overall pass percentage in ICSE from West Bengal is 98.05% and ISC is 95.95%. As usual, the pass percentage of Girls is 98.34% and that of boys is 97.84%. A similar case is observed in ISC i.e. 97.74% and 94.47% respectively.
In ICSE merit positions of West Bengal Niddha Basu from Siliguri’s Nirmala Convent grabbed the 3rd Position along with four other candidates of Kolkata schools scoring 98.4%. The 1st and 2nd positions are bagged by all Kolkata, Bandel, and Howrah schools. Arka Chatterjee and Oindrila Bhadra from Kolkata’s La Martiniere and Vivekananda Mission Schools bagged the 3rd position in the All India Merit list of ICSE.
As far as the ISC merit list is concerned, among the top 3 positions 2 positions is retained by Kolkata alone. However, there is something to cheer about for Darjeeling. Mrinal Pradhan from St. Joseph College (School section) grabbed the second position in the state with 98.75% along with 7 other candidates (from Kolkata). Whereas Arkadeb Sengupta of Don Bosco, Park Circus got 99.25% and Kavita Desai from Bhawanipore Educational Society, Kolkata with the same percentage bagged the first position in the state. All the third positions (7 candidates) are again retained by Kolkata Schools. Arkadeb and Kavita of Kolkata bagged the 3rd position jointly in India too.
